ECG is pleased to announce the publication of our latest report from ECG Business Intelligence entitled "Europe’s charging infrastructure for electric HDVs''.
With increasing pressure from shippers to decarbonise road transport read about the enormous infrastructure challenges that Europe is facing to allow this to happen. Today Europe has just 2 (!!!) publicly available charging locations suitable for use by heavy goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, with an estimated 31,121 locations needed to support 143,083 trucks stopping per day by 2030 the scale of the challenge is truly enormous. On top of this the banks of new megawatt chargers will consume vast amounts of electricity that needs to be generated somehow.
