Call for an action plan for future proofed grids

Charge Up European and T&E are making a joint call for future proofed grids drafted with technical input from the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP), asking for:

Faster, more transparent grid connection procedures, especially for grid connections that are essential for the energy transition (e.g. charging infrastructure).
The strengthening of flexibility, especially via the usage of EVs as ‘batteries on wheels’/energy storage to integrate and make most out of renewable power generation
Grid operators (via national regulatory authorities) to make sure that they take into account the millions of EVs, when planning their future grid networks.
